Linker precursors144 mg 2,5-dihydroxy-terephthalic acid (DHBDC), 98%, Sigma-Aldrich
Solvents60 mL mixture of EtOH, DMF and H2O in a 1:1:1 ratio; MeOH used for washing/solvent exchange
AtmosphereSolvothermal atmosphere not specified; drying/activation under reduced pressure/vacuum

Work-upAfter cooling to room temperature, crystals were washed and solvent-exchanged with MeOH.
ActivationCrystals were dried under reduced pressure and activated under vacuum at 160 C overnight.
Scalability contextLarge crystals of a few hundred micrometres were obtained; no scale-up discussion is provided.
